The OpenID Connect protocol needs to consider generic token introspection solutions as a replacement for the CheckID endpoint as it stands today, such as those in discussion for the AS-RS connections from the OAuth IETF WG.

We deleted the check_id endpoint. People can use the OAuth introspection feature for access tokens, if desired, when that becomes available.
