Size of a Credential Issuer Metadata

Credential Issuer Metadata could become very big if every single credential has to have display properties in 50+ languages (Microsoft’s requirement for global products) and if the logo for each of the localized credential is a different data uri. One option we are exploring is to use credential_offer_uri and put in the header of a request obtaining credential offer object to specify the language in in which the credential will be issued. Is there interest in defining syntax for such header parameter?

yes - if i understand this correctly it also means that result can be cached by the wallet

• Would this mechanism also be applied when retrieving the issuer metadata (and not an offer)?
• Are you considering something such as the Accept-Language HTTP request header (https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc7231#section-5.3.5)?
