OpenID4VCI Core Concepts uses undefined term doctype

Issue #1974 resolved
Michael Jones created an issue

The Core Concepts section https://openid.bitbucket.io/connect/openid-4-verifiable-credential-issuance-1_0.html#name-core-concepts includes:

multiple Credentials of different types/doctypes bound to the same proof, or

multiple Credentials of the same type/doctype bound to different proofs, or

multiple Credentials of the different types/doctypes bound to different proofs.

No previous definition of either the term “doctype” or “type/doctype” appears in the spec. It’s also not clear why “type/doctype” is being used rather than a single descriptive word - perhaps simply “type”.

Yes, there’s a partial definition of the doctype parameter in an appendix at https://openid.bitbucket.io/connect/openid-4-verifiable-credential-issuance-1_0.html#server_metadata_mso_mdoc. But that doesn’t make the usage in the Core Concepts section less quizzical.

doctype is defined in ISO 18013-5. and we are using it as defined there. which, yes, could be clearer.
