Brief review of external Orgs & Events

  • Update on IIF meeting / Don
    • Board member authorized a new initiative called Global Trsut Initiative and it will be announced soon.
    • OIDF was accepted as co-leadership role to provide energy and influence over the new initiative.
    • Alberto from Santandar had presentation of eKYC use-case as well as SWIFT team.
    • OpenID Connect, such as FAPI and eKYC, will be a key technical part there.
    • eBay also had a presentation about a use-case what they are looking for.
    • There were also a discussion around synergy with Self-Sovereign Identity and Identity Wallet, business use-cases, not only for normal person but for companies.
  • European Commission / Stephane
    • European Commission team was interested in talking to us about eKYC and how we leverage use of eIDAS trust services especially qualified certificate to use X509 certificates issued by QTSP for anti-money laundering.
    • Currently most of QTSP have a problem that they have not enough identity data.
    • Stephane will raise a issue for this and will start discussion around this so that we can bring a proposal to the commision.
  • ISO and #1168 / Nat
    • This is not a technical issue but a lawful issue, so this will not give any effect on the spec.
    • Nat will add comment on the issue and will finally remove the issue.

About revision 10

  • Torsten raised a topic for versioning before the vote starts.
    • He want to make updates on editorial changes and bug fixes around JSON schema on current revision 09 before the vote starts.
    • If these changes are purely editorial changes, there is no need to change its revision.
    • But if technical changes were made, it is needed to change revision and restart review period.
    • Current changes are editorial ones and just for clarifications, so the chair will decide whether go forward as it is or change revision and restart the review period.
    • Torsten will have meeting with co-chairs to make decision, and no one have objected.

PRs & Issues

  • PR #23
    • Mark didn't have added Taylor as review yet.
    • Marcos will review this PR.
  • PR #29 - new
    • Editorial change
    • Marcos will double check this, too.
  • #1182
    • regards to PR #29 and if PR #29 is closed, this issue will be closed, too.
    • also #1183 will be closed, too.
  • #1159
    • no reason to proceed, close.
  • #1185
    • Continue discuss on bitbucket, and will have discuss at the next call.
    • Main point is, in the OpenID core spec the response from userInfo EP is not signed and there is a risk to take over, but in eKYC case the response should be more accurate. So we have to consider how to do this more accurate way.
