Issue #531 new

From what I've been able to find it looks like openpyxl supports TextBoxes in Charts and Comments, but not standalone TextBoxes. Is there any plan to add support for TextBoxes in the future, and/or am I missing something? Here's an example of what I mean in another library (I need to be able to read and write spreadsheets so unfortunately using that library isn't an option for me) http://xlsxwriter.readthedocs.org/en/latest/working_with_textboxes.html#working-with-textboxes

Starting with 2.3 the underpinnings are certainly there but I don't think it's particularly high on the agenda.

FWIW Just checked the code in 2.4 so that this is now technically possible but it's going to take a lot of work.

This is technically possible in 2.5 because of improved support for DrawingML. However, there is no easy way to do this because there is no real concept of a textbox. It should now be possible to reverse engineer a file that contains one and derive a relevant class or function to avoid having to set all the options by hand.
