irrad.irradiation_event_type to str no longer does the job in python 3.x

For me run_type = irrad.irradiation_event_type.code_meaning does the job in python 3.6 and 3.8

Hi Ed,

Good that you mention it, I vaguely remember (it was about half a year ago) that I had changed it in other files as well when we updated our servers to python3.6. I will check whether the changes affected original openrem scripts.
