Have you seen Surlex? I read about it in a blog and it's been awesome. It does almost exactly what django-easyurls does, but in a different way that I like better (register_macro versus an exposed dict).

    Why is this an issue? As I can see, django-easyurls is created earlier than surlex. It is good to have multiple competing implementations of similar ideas. If you like surlex better then use it, django-easyurls has nothing to do with this.

    I have seen surlex, but I created django-easyurls before surlex existed. Either way, as kmike says, if you prefer surlex over django-easyurls, that's what you should be using.
