We needed to clone the ariac-gazebo_ros_pkgs
repo to practice with blackouts and depth cams. Do we need to clone that repo in our competition docker builds?

No, you do not need to clone or install
ariac-gazebo_ros_pkgs
in yourbuild_team_system.bash
script.If you're curious, the ariac competition software runs in a separate container from your team's docker container.
ariac-gazebo_ros_pkgs
is installed in that separate image:https://github.com/osrf/ariac-docker/blob/f4f530aadad1a416bf3ac4c3d0585caa43a38c20/ariac-server/ariac-server/Dockerfile_generic#L34-L39
