Spacecraft disappear when moving in time and full magnetopause opacity

Issue #28 new
C. Philippe Escoubet created an issue

with magnetopause surface with full opacity when the spacecraft are out of magnetosphere, if we step with time, they disappear (see screen shot (Screen Shot 2015-12-01 at 16.59.19) and field lines appear, we have to move again the 3D view with the mouse for the spacecraft and part of orbit to appear again (Screen Shot 2015-12-01 at 17.00.44)

I have so far not managed to reproduce the bug (Mac OS, ovt_macos_3_0_build6_BETA_commitf77d00b_2015-11-20.dmg).

I can do that every time and it is quit annoying if you want to look at the spacecraft orbit with respect to a boundary. Here are my steps:

    1. load a state file using Cluster ltof for 2016-06-04 02:00:00 for 2d 6h and 10 min step with magnetopause around 60% opacity
    2. time of the s/c position is 2016-06-04 15:40. if I point to the image with the mouse and rotate slightly the magnetopause/orbit, then the spacecraft appears very clearly
    3. I now move forward the time by one step with the mouse, to 15:50, and the spacecraft and segment of the orbit that should be outside of the magnetopause become darker (similar to being inside the magnetopause)
    4. if I repeat 2 I get again the s/c bright again.
