Feature request: Wallabag support
This is a bit of a biggie, but it would open an interesting road for this extension, and a way to become independent of Pocket.
Wallabag is an open source, self-hostable bookmarking service similar to Pocket. It has extensions/apps for every platform, but the browser extensions are kind of weak - nowhere near the level of this extension. By allowing to connect to the open api of this server format, the extension would be much, much more useful, and be opened to a whole new community. The UI could remain the same, since basically all the features are the same and actions are meaningful in each service.

repo owner Hello @poison borz ! This is a very good idea. It is actually in my private backlog, but I’ve not added this to the public roadmap of the project yet. Definitely something I was thinking of.
Do you use the wallabag addons yourself? Do you have links to them? I’d be curious to see what they implement and how they work. This is not on my immediate priority list though, but I keep this in mind (partly because I’m a bit worried with Pocket and the way the project evolves).

repo owner I’ve created a card in the public roadmap for this idea: https://trello.com/c/K8nqCou8/105-🦘-add-wallabag-as-a-backend-to-store-the-reading-list-items
