Fedora 24 release of the repo is not yet ready, hence it is not available, and not mentioned in description. There are some strange dependency that are delaying the release.

Thanks for update only for info I have tried also in Fedora 23 (Cinnamon) and the error is the same

    Ah, yes, you right.

I was suspecting that the issues I have are due to F24 copr repository not being reindexed after new packages are built, so I wanted to remove all builds of a certain package from repo. This indeed removed that package on all releases.

I will rebuild them ASAP. It may be as well that I just found the issue I had with F24 build so hopefully I will be able to release that too.

    Regards Piotr

    Hi,

Yes, kdeplasma-addons is the package which does not want to build properly in F24 due to some changes in packages that it requires and conflicts with... However, F23 it should work fine..

Can you please provide the exact error you are getting in F23 ? I have noticed that in F22 I get a conflict with some of the plasma-nm packages, so I guess I need to recheck all distros. again.

Hello Piotr the error is exactly the same:

if you need a test, I can try to install kde4 also in Fedora 22. Some months ago instead I have succesfuly installed kde4 in another fedora 23

    Hi,

It looks like F22 is fine, but F23 has some strange issues. kde4-fedora is meant to be a metapackage, but I never showed it much love, so it is not a best creation, however I'm getting confusing signals :

    [root@Fedora23-test001 ~]# dnf install kde4-fedora --refresh --allowerasing Copr repo for kde4-fedora owned by peem 174 kB/s | 236 kB 00:01

    dnf install kdeplasma-addons --allowerasing --best [..] Installed: kde-style-oxygen.x86_64 3:4.11.22-13.fc23 kde-workspace-libs.x86_64 3:4.11.22-13.fc23 kdeplasma-addons-libs.x86_64 3:4.14.3-7.fc23 ksysguard-libs.x86_64 3:4.11.22-13.fc23

    Upgraded: kdeplasma-addons.x86_64 3:4.14.3-7.fc23

    [root@Fedora23-test001 ~]# dnf install kde4-fedora --refresh --allowerasing Copr repo for kde4-fedora owned by peem 174 kB/s | 236 kB 00:01
Error: package kde4-fedora-1.0-3.fc23.x86_64 requires kdeplasma-addons >= 3:4.14.3-6, but none of the providers can be installed

It looks to me as something in depsolver is not doing the good job, but it may be as well that some of my requirements are a tad circular. I'll keep looking into it.

Hello Piotr I have tried yesterday to install kde4-fedora in both fedora23 and fedora 24 and all worked fine today instead the repo seems to be not available

    Regards

    Hi Giuseppe,

Yes, I have worked on it slowly all the time since F24 release, and finally this week I think all issues should be solved. I don't know anything about repositories being unavailable, I have tested install on F24 just today and it worked fine for me. Tested F23 and F22 (of archived repo) yesterday, also fine.

I would assume there were some temporary connectivity issues from your location, perhaps ?

Let me know if it works now, as well as report any issues here, as I haven't tested much of functionality myself, just basics.

    Regards, Piotr

It seems to be resolved now, install on vanilla OS with "KDE Plasma Workspaces" group installs without errors and removes right KF5 packages.

Waiting for some confirmation before closing.
