    Thanks for report.

The error report is that it is failing to pick up dependencies. I thought that the install on these put them in our maven repository. Will check tomorrow (ca 10 hours).

I am deploying at https://hudson.ch.cam.ac.uk/ - this should show the complete dependency tree. The builds for html and svg are now working under Jenkins (Hudson) but not deploying - I am fighting this bug.

The dependency tree has no closed source libraries and no GPL-licensed libraries. Our own are OSI-compliant and mainly a mixture of Apache-2.0 with some Artistic 2.0. The 3rd party are the usual suspects - Apache utilities, Guava, XOM, Junit. I don't expect any licence problems. the main bloat is in CML-XOM where there is some chemical stuff - I should split this into a lightweight PMR-XOM and then the chemistry.

    I don't know how to get the complete classpath out of maven. The Eclipse .classpath is probably not what you want - here it is: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <classpath> <classpathentry kind="src" output="target/classes" path="src/main/java"/> <classpathentry excluding="" kind="src" output="target/classes" path="src/main/resources"/> <classpathentry kind="src" output="target/test-classes" path="src/test/java"/> <classpathentry excluding="" kind="src" output="target/test-classes" path="src/test/resources"/> <classpathentry kind="con" path="org.eclipse.jdt.launching.JRE_CONTAINER/org.eclipse.jdt.internal.debug.ui.launcher.StandardVMType/J2SE-1.5"/> <classpathentry kind="con" path="org.eclipse.m2e.MAVEN2_CLASSPATH_CONTAINER"/> <classpathentry kind="output" path="target/classes"/> </classpath>

I think this bug is now fixed - it was a clash between repositories blocks in pom that caused it to change the repo it tried to download from. Please try it now. (Also see next Issue)

Just tried again. Still get failed as below:

Thanks for your patience and help!

Hudson is meant to have a completely clean environment. So there should be no way that my environment, builds etc can contaminate it.

I can't load your http://nexus.arrs.arrisi.com/content/groups/public URL and I'm not sure where it is getting this from. We probably need someone else to try this and see whether the fault is at our end.

If you visit https://hudson.ch.cam.ac.uk/job/pdf2svg/ can you see https://hudson.ch.cam.ac.uk/job/pdf2svg/lastBuild/console ? This is a complete (successful) build/deploy. I have added it to the repo as buildDeploy.txt

If you eyeball the chunk where the jars are downloaded there may be an obvious hint. [INFO]
    [INFO] ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [INFO] Building PDF2SVG 0.1-SNAPSHOT [INFO] ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Downloading: https://maven.ch.cam.ac.uk/m2repo/org/xml-cml/euclid/1.1-SNAPSHOT/maven-metadata.xml Downloading: https://oss.sonatype.org/content/repositories/snapshots/org/xml-cml/euclid/1.1-SNAPSHOT/maven-metadata.xml etc.

The ucky kludge is to check out https://bitbucket.org/petermr/html/ https://bitbucket.org/petermr/svg/ and see if they will mvn clean install Then mvn will pick them up from your local repo.

If they fail then there may be a problem at your end - what version of maven are you running?

I downloaded the poms in may MBP, previous url is the repo of the company. I got another error about mvn dependencies, maybe its my end. Will check it out soon.

[ERROR] Failed to execute goal org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-enforcer-plugin:1.0:enforce (enforce-maven) on project pdf2svg: Execution enforce-maven of goal org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-enforcer-plugin:1.0:enforce failed: Plugin org.apache.maven.plugins:maven-enforcer-plugin:1.0 or one of its dependencies could not be resolved: Could not find artifact org.beanshell:bsh:jar:2.0b4 in central (http://repo1.maven.org/maven2) -> [Help 1]

    BTW, i'm using maven 3.0.3!

    Thanks,

  7. petermr repo owner

Mine is also mvn 3.0.3 Your beanshell error looks like a problem your end - it's not something that I've included in the dependencies (I think!).

Could it be a proxy problem?

I will ask one of my collabs to try it on a clean machine, but I am reasonably confident that Hudson runs clean.

  8. Murray Jensen

I just cleared out my local maven repo (i.e. rm -r ~/.m2/repository), then cloned pdf2svg and did a "mvn clean install" - it completed with BUILD SUCCESS. Will send/post transcript if required. Cheers! Murray...
