SNESTEST on branch maint

Issue #118 resolved
Jack Kemp created an issue

I can successfully build petsc4py (master branch) on top of petsc (master branch) on Linux. However, when I attempt to build (either pip or distutils) maint branch on top of petsc maint branch, I get undefined references to SNESTEST.

I notice there is a recent commit to master getting rid of references to SNESTEST -- does this need to be merged into maint?

It seems you are right. I was not expecting this change to be merged on top of petsc/maint, I did not notice, I thought the change would impact petsc/master alone.

@BarryFSmith This was a bad move. I'm going to cherry-pick my petsc4py update from master to maint. However, I think you should consider to push a fix in petsc/maint for next patch release to keep the SNESTEST definition to avoid breaks in third-party code.
