I. Adding the meta-xenomai layer to your build

In order to use this layer, you need to make the build system aware of it.

Assuming the meta-xenomai layer exists at the top-level of your
yocto build tree, you can add it to the build system by adding the
location of the meta-xenomai layer to bblayers.conf, along with any
other layers needed. e.g.:

  BBLAYERS ?= " \
    /path/to/yocto/meta-xenomai \

II. Misc

The "ENABLE_UART = 1" option should *NOT* be used with Xenomai and Pi 3.

Please add the following lines to your conf/local.conf :

MACHINE = "raspberrypi3"

PREFERRED_PROVIDER_virtual/kernel = "linux-xenomai-rpi3"
IMAGE_INSTALL_append = " xenomai rt-tests"
SERIAL_CONSOLE = "115200 ttyAMA0"
