Optionally display / hide long texts via GUI

In issue #94, it has been proposed to add an option to hide or display long texts in
browse-mode.

$charsNum has already been introduced for this. But I consider a static config-option
not enough - one might want to display longer texts from time to time without changing
configuration.
Therefore, I propose a GUI option to display complete texts. phpMyAdmin offers an option
for this as well.
