Large amounts of text not handled well

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? The depth of the column becomes massive. What you want is either the text to be truncated or the oveflow to be hidden and visible by scrolling i.e. put a scrolling div into the cell. It would also be nice if the text was vertically aligned to the top.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? 1.8.6
