Some questions, that have come up several times in various discussions.
I want to help by translating Thonny UI or webpage to another language. How should I start?
We're grateful to everybody who have offered translations, but at the moment Thonny doesn't have any infrastructure set up for this. We haven't considered it a priority because Thonny users need to deal with English anyway (because of Python keywords and libraries). Most likely Thonny's UI remains English-only.
On the other hand, we're glad to add links to tutorials / help / documentation written in other languages.
A related issue: Thonny's main developers are not native English speakers. Feel free to suggest corrections for grammar / spelling / style.
Why doesn't Thonny support breakpoints?
We believe that current "breakpointless" style is easier to understand for complete beginners.
On the other hand, we understand that in certain cases breakpoints are useful or even necessary. See issue #177 for discussion about adding breakpoints to Thonny
