Roadmap and Collaboration

My team and I are investigating different solutions for social feed TYPO3 integrations. We kept pb_social under our radar, analyzed it’s implementation and decided to contact you regarding some specific questions.

We are maintaining a closed source TYPO3 template used by a wide variety of different TYPO3 instances. Many of our users asked for an easy way to integrate their social feeds for networks like Facebook, Twitter and so on. Our main goal is to integrate the networks with a generic solution, so that our users don’t have to fiddle around with API keys and App reviews. The users should be able to just choose their Facebook Page, Twitter user, etc. with a few basic “clicks”.

If yours and our goals and ideas align and we choose to use this extension, we are very open to contribute to it. Are you interested in a collaboration? What are your own priorities / roadmap regarding this extension? We saw that all latest changes are committed to the feature/beta branch, what is the plan with this branch?

Did you already have experience with setting up pb_social and the different providers in a generic way for many separate TYPO3 instances with different feeds? Are you open to share your experiences with us?

During our first exploration of the extension we noticed that the vendor SDK’s are directly versioned in the extension code. Just out of curiosity, does this have specific advantages compared to integrating them using composer?
