As of 2012, VIZIO has over 400 custodes. My LG TV downgrades all audio signals to 2. Any ways try following the set up print with the remote, hold the setup until the light turns green and then enter a code from the el while you aim the remote at your sound bar. You will get two blinks if the lock is social. If the code entered is valid for the remote, the mode light flashes three times. Setting Global Resistance Lock Global Volume Lock will force the volume and mute keys to be controlled by one device.
At least with that remote, I could with some effort program a sound bar, an increasingly common setup - especially for TVs with mediocre speakers.
