Issue #34 invalid

Processing 1.5.1 can't get colorutils to work

Brendan Dawes
created an issue

Since upgrading to Processing 1.5.1 I can't get any projects that use colorutils to work, including the examples. I've downloaded the latest libraries and all of them work fine except the colorutils. The error I get is:

Exception in thread "Animation Thread" java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: toxi.util.datatypes.GenericSet.<init>([Ljava/lang/Object;)V at toxi.color.ColorRange.<init>(Unknown Source) at toxi.color.ColorRange.<clinit>(Unknown Source) at ColorTheory.draw(ColorTheory.java:77) at processing.core.PApplet.handleDraw(PApplet.java:1631) at processing.core.PApplet.run(PApplet.java:1530) at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:680) }}}

On Mac OSX 10.7.3 Any ideas?

    Hi Brendan, I'm not sure what this is, but am guessing it's your setup rather than anything on this side. Am on 10.7.4 and have the latest version of Java and never had any problems with Processing 1.5.1 (also not under 10.6.x). I've also not encountered anything similar in any of the recent workshops.

    java -version
    java version "1.6.0_31"
    Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_31-b04-415-11M3646)
    Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.6-b01-415, mixed mode)

    Can you also please make sure you're not having multiple versions of the library installed and if this doesn't help maybe try upgrading your Java from here:

    Finally got around to sorting it out. There was a folder called "prefutils" that seemed to be causing the problem, probably from an old version. All working great now - thanks.
