Bangalore Open Data Repository is repository of data, code and related artifacts that I have collected in my personal capacity. Its targeted at data enthusiasts, data scientists, researchers and developers who are interested in public data related to Bangalore. Its maintained as a mercurial repository and available at http://code.thejeshgn.com/bangalore. If you are a developer then you can clone

1.I have data and I want to make it available?
If its in Public Domain then its easy.Upload it to internet archive. Also send me a mail if its related to Bangalore. I will try to make it available here too. If not very sure. Send me a mail. Lets discuss how we can make it available to the rest of the world. You can use my GPG Keys for sending me an encrypted mail.
2.What is the data format?
I try to use an open data format as much as possible. Example: txt, csv, kml, svg, sqlite, odf, png, ogg etc
3.Whats the copyright of the data available here?
If there is any specific copyright attached to a file/dataset it will be mentioned so in that file. If not all the data is under ODC Open Database License.
In simple words

As long as you: Attribute: You must attribute any public use of the database, or works produced from the database, in the manner specified in the ODbL. Share-Alike: If you publicly use any adapted version of this database, or works produced from an adapted database, you must also offer that adapted database under the ODbL.
