Crash + Dotnet Exception

At first I got a crash after I alt tabbed at the enter serial screen, so I could go and copy my serial from Chrome. Fresh Max boot.

Then when I restarted Max and I already had the serial in my clipboard and I wanted to activate my serial I get this.

Hi anon, Thanks for reporting this bug.

I don't have windows 8 installed currently to test this immediately, but what you could do in the meantime is to try disabling your firewall (or adding an exception for 3dsmax) whilst you activate the software. It might be the case that the firewall is preventing the activation script from communicating with the license server. Let me know how you get on, and if that doesn't solve the issue I will investigate further.

Also, you could try adding an exception for ports 80 and 8080 in your firewall.

Hi again. I've just tested the installer with Max 2016 on windows 8 and I couldn't recreate your error.

Can you tell me a little more about your setup; eg do you have any unusual UI settings in windows? What firewall / virus checking software do you use (email me if you want to keep this confidential).
