2022 Version does not recognise the Sardinia Radio Telescope

Hello,

I noticed that tempo2 2022 does not properly recognise the SRT and it uses JB instead to computed barycentric TOAs.

It should be something related to the observatories file I think.

I’m pretty sure this is because z used to be used by jbo, but now sardinia and although it is commented out, the alias file is not actually parsed to understand comments on the same line so it ends up thinking srt==z==jbo. I will fix it, but for a quick fix, just remove the commented “z” from the jbo line in $TEMPO2/observatory/aliases
