background ftp server

would it be possible to implement a background ftp server with boost mode in xblast

    FTP server is intended but way down the road. A lot of stuff must be implemented before FTP.

    It is also improbable that it will be able to run in background due to the singled-threaded nature of Cromwell.

    If it were able to be implemented as a menu option (single threaded) that would be great as it is quite hard to get files on to a newly formatted slim xbox or a console with a faulty dvd drive.

    I guess this hinges on fatx/ xtaf write support also.

    I would like to secondly strongly back this. Getting an FTP server booted without the need of media would make things much easier.
