Is there that big of a difference between Github and Bitbucket in terms of visibility? I honestly don't have a good sense for it. My general impression was that given this is a scientific library, the people interested in this code base would be searching for it specifically after we've advertised it to them via e.g. science seminars. I would be surprised if people are just stumbling onto this repo.

I have considered moving the whole repo over to Github due to Bitbucket's lack of IPython Notebook support though...
