Many BibTeX constructs like Umlauts not handled correctly by richtext.Text

In BibTeX, umlauts or accented characters in Author names are represented in various ways, e.g. {\"{o}} to represent a “ö”. These constructs are kept as is when rendering to HTML which is incorrect. Also other characters need to get escaped in BibTeX, e.g. “\#” which is also left unchanged when converted to HTML

Oh it seems the idea is that whatever Text gets is already converted at an earlier stage.
