slow at processing entries with large number of authors

pybtex is very slow at processing entries with large number of authors. It can take a few minutes to process an entry with hundreds of authors. A real-world example of such entry is available here: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?msg=5;filename=foo.bib;att=2;bug=595082
