Issue #60 resolved

xmlrpc package_releases issues

Adam Groszer avatarAdam Groszer created an issue

There are two problems in fact. They appear on different PCs. The one is:

  File "c:\buildslave\wineggbuilder\build\src\zope\wineggbuilder\build.py", line 384, in runCLI
    pkg.build(status)
  File "c:\buildslave\wineggbuilder\build\src\zope\wineggbuilder\build.py", line 185, in build
    versions = pypi.package_releases(self.name, show_hidden=True)
  File "c:\buildslave\wineggbuilder\build\src\zope\wineggbuilder\base.py", line 162, in package_releases
    return self.proxy.package_releases(package_name, show_hidden)
  File "c:\python25_sys\lib\xmlrpclib.py", line 1147, in __call__
    return self.__send(self.__name, args)
  File "c:\python25_sys\lib\xmlrpclib.py", line 1437, in __request
    verbose=self.__verbose
  File "c:\python25_sys\lib\xmlrpclib.py", line 1201, in request
    return self._parse_response(h.getfile(), sock)
  File "c:\python25_sys\lib\xmlrpclib.py", line 1338, in _parse_response
    p.close()
  File "c:\python25_sys\lib\xmlrpclib.py", line 550, in close
    self._parser.Parse("", 1) # end of data

That's at http://winbot.zope.org/builders/wineggbuilder/builds/41848/steps/release%20eggs/logs/stdio

And while trying to debug, locally:

>>> import xmlrpclib
>>> client = xmlrpclib.ServerProxy('http://pypi.python.org/pypi')
>>> client.package_releases('roundup')
['1.5.0']
>>> client.package_releases('roundup', show_hidden=True)
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module>
TypeError: __call__() got an unexpected keyword argument 'show_hidden'
