syslog broken in 2.1?

Anonymous created an issue

I just updated to pypy 2.1. I've been able to workaround it by importing syslog as root (to generate compiled files). Am I missing something or is this really a bug

Python 2.7.3 (2.1.0+dfsg-1~ppa2, Sep 10 2013, 20:11:06) [PyPy 2.1.0 with GCC 4.6.3] on linux2 Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information. And now for something completely different: ``running pypy-c translate.py is a bit like watching a thriller movie, it could die at any time because of the 32-bit 4GB limit of RAM''
