This commit fixes a minor difference between CPython's and pypy's namedtuple implementation.
Without this fix pickling a namedtuple with CPython and trying to unpickle with pypy would fail.
difference to what exact version of cpython?
This is almost certainly not right, our collections.py is a totally unmodified copy of what was in CPython. Either this was an issue fixed in later CPythons, or there's a bug somewhere else.
Maybe the bug is related to pickling. In any case, you need to isolate the problem into a test that fails on PyPy but works on CPython.
Ok, you can reject this pull request, I was comparing CPython 2.7.3 to pypy 1.9, which I now see is 2.7.2 compatible.
Is anyone working on a 2.7.3 pypy release?
there is a branch where amaury started the work, im not sure whats missing
For future reference, here is a bug against CPython related to this issue: http://bugs.python.org/issue15535
