Installation problem

Issue #1 resolved

Hello, I have some problems while installing the package. First of all, I'm on Ubuntu 10.04 64-bit, python v2.6.5, cython v0.14.1

When I try: {{{ python install }}} it complains about not finding the Newton library, so I rename "libnewton.a" to "libNewton.a" (notice the capital letter).

Then I only get a warning {{{ cc1plus: warning: command line option "-Wstrict-prototypes" is valid for Ada/C/ObjC but not for C++ }}}

But the problem appears while in a python shell I import the package: {{{

import newton Traceback (most recent call last): File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module> ImportError: /usr/local/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/ undefined symbol: NewtonBodySetVelocity }}}

I don't know what else to do. Please help us! Thanks in advance!

    Well, I didn't try with the lastest Newton's SRC (v2.33). So I downloaded it, compile it and copied the generated "libNewton.a" for my platform (linux64) to newpy's folder. Then it works!

    The problems is fixed. The original "libnewton.a" included is obsolete, or needs to be updated.
