How to use xss-lock with xlock?

Issue #21 new
Former user created an issue

xlock is a classical screen saver, in that it is invoked (e.g. with “xlock -mode blank” or “xlock -mode random”) when the screen is supposed to be locked, and terminating xlock frees the screen.

I’m told by the elogind people that, suddenly, I must use xss-lock because installing elogind disables the perfectly fine automatic xlock invocation from acpi-support and uses xss-lock instead.

The xss-lock documentation talks about a notifier command, but xlock does not have a “notifier”.

So, how do I use xss-lock with xlock (Debian xlockmore-gl)?
