Handling of "timed out" on headless system

I use Yatse on a system with TV switched off.

From time to time, when accessing the plugin - main screen has a long loading time and after that nothing is accessible inside (no playlists load when you click "playlists" etc.).

In the meantime, the "timed out" popup is shown when I switch on my TV.

Only solution I have found so far is to reboot the system.

I believe this exception should be somehow presented to the user inside the plugin (then user would know it occured). Would that be possible ?
