Issue #195 resolved

incorrect handling of empty "shortinstitute" in footer in "infolines" outer theme

Anonymous avatarAnonymous created an issue

When no \institute is defined, the "infolines" outer theme incorrectly writes "Author ()" instead of "Author" in the footer.

Run the attached "bug.tex" file through pdflatex and look at the footer in the resulting PDF file to see the problem.

This code in themes/outer/beamerouterthemeinfolines.sty is apparently intended to suppress the parentheses if the shortinstitute is empty, but it's not working:

\usebeamerfont{author in head/foot}\insertshortauthor~\beamer@ifempty{\insertshortinstitute}{}{(\insertshortinstitute)}
