Issue #171 invalid

pointed brackets are rendered wrong

{{{ \documentclass{beamer} \usepackage[ngerman]{babel}

\begin{document} \begin{frame}{} < > \end{frame} \end{document} }}}

This example produces "¡ ¿" as result, instead of "< >". Is this the right behavior? I only found that you have to treat '<' and '>' special when using the spanish style and the article mode.

I'm using texlive 2011, but a friend told me, that this occurs with texlive 2009 too.

    Not a beamer bug: you need to \usepackage[T1]{fontenc}. For example, try

    \documentclass{article}
    %\usepackage[T1]{fontenc} % Uncomment to see the difference
    \begin{document}
    < >
    \end{document}
