\onslide failure in tabular with \setbeamercovered{dynamic}

I don't think I can make it smaller. \pause gives the same result. In the attached example, each couple of lines is expected to appear one after the other. In reality, only the first lines are hidden, the second ones are always displayed.

    The reason for this behaviour is that each cell of a table is a group, and the way that covering is implemented is tied to TeX grouping (many things are). I don't see an obvious way to fix this for the case mentioned at the beamer end. Instead, I think the only sensible approach is to alter the input so that the \onslide commands refer to only one cell. That's obvious a bit of a pain, but I think it's the sensible fix.
