Anonymous created an issue

I have installed v3.09 and try it. However, it has occurred errors, shown below, and I cannot use newer version as well as 3.07+geometry patch. Do you require another software?

joseph and vedran, you have given me a solution and the reason, both. ctan version is suitable for me (that is a solution), and version info is provided through hg command (that is the reason). thanks a lot.

Sure. We try to release frequently, so the users wouldn't be stuck with known bugs for too long. Besides, it's testing period for TL2010, and we would love to have Beamer in good shape before TL gets officially released, since this what some people who don't do updates are going to be stuck with for a year.

I got solutions of this problem

    1.open the "beamer.cls" and "beamerbasercs.sty" 2.replace the "\ProvidesPackageRCS $Header$" to "\ProvidesPackageRCS $Header: beamer.cls,v 70f9d8411e54 2011/09 $" in both files. [without symbol " ]

    3. save

    then it just works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Really?!?!?!

This doesn't help. I have the version with the last changeset 577:22f1e50e06a1

    TexWorks still complains: Runaway argument? Header$ \ProvidesPackage {\beamer@rcsfile }[\beamer@rcsdate \space (r\ETC. ! File ended while scanning use of \beamer@parseid. <inserted text> \par l.13 \ProvidesClassRCS $Header$
