Issue #60 invalid

\only and verbatim environment

Stefan Pinnow
created an issue

is it a bug or a feature that one cannot use \only together with the verbatim environment?

Best regards Stefan Pinnow

\documentclass{beamer} \begin{document} \begin{frame}[fragile] \begin{onlyenv}<1-> % works \begin{verbatim} a test \end{verbatim} \end{onlyenv}

% \only<2->{ % doesn't work % \begin{verbatim} % another test % \end{verbatim} % } \end{frame} \end{document}

    Not so sure: this is 'verbatim in the argument of another macro'. These cases are always awkward, and I'd say that this is consistent with other LaTeX situations, where the rule is 'this is not supported'.

    I think in the meantime I have read in the manual that it is only supported to use the environments (like onlyenv) together with verbatim environments.

    So I think you can close this with `invalid'.
