Assertion failed error

Issue #254 new
Dan created an issue

I'm not sure what happened to trigger it, but I just got an "Assertion failed!" C++ Runtime error. The hill orc had just thrown/shot something at me, and the dwarven auto-focus vowed to slay it, when I got the error. Ignoring retriggered it, and retry led to a hard crash.

The Windows event log provided this additional information that wasn't on the dialog:

Faulting application name: Incursion.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x55cd69b8
Faulting module name: libtcod.dll, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x54d85505
Exception code: 0x80000003
Fault offset: 0x00037732

Turns out, this is reproduceable. In the attached savegame, go north two rooms. The hill orc is on the right side of the small room, and it will crash as soon as you get in range.

Disabling dwarven auto-focus will prevent the crash, and attempting to manually focus gives the That's hardly a worthy foe for you! message. So it's probably auto-choosing an invalid target.
