Handiness issue with swapping Gloves of the Powerful Grip

Swapping out Gloves of the Powerful Grip allows you to retain whatever set up you had while still wearing other gloves. Some strange results followed wherein swapping things into the ready hand (a buckler in my case) allowed the weapon hand to regain 2-handed stats (bonus to dmg). Upon swapping the weapon hand out to another 2 handed weapon resulted in the original disappearing into the ether while the new weapon will require 2 hands again.
