Write a server version of this addon.
I should write a server version of this addon so that our Server customers can get it too. However this is only high priority if I get enough people who want the feature.

Hi @robertmassaioli, Thanks for setting this up and I'll be sure to spread the word.
On a side note, SketchFab has an internal HipChat integration which they might release to the public if there is enough interest and which might in Atlassian's interests to possibly turn into a collaboration effort on yours or another Atlassian staff member's part?

At the end of the day I would love to see SketchFab and/or Marmoset Viewer supported across most of the Atlassian suite, especially JIRA :)

reporter @benjamin_smith I was considering JIRA integration but I was not sure what you wanted. Did you want to see the Sketchfab viewer to appear like a JIRA Attachment, or inline in the comments section, or clickable in the right side panel?
I'm just wondering how you would like a JIRA integration to work and what would make it useful for you?
-
@robertmassaioli The most simplistic implementation would have to be comment/description embedding, shortly followed an attachment section.
Though due to the assets being stored remotely I would probably suggest creating a sub-section off the Attachments section dedicated to SketchFab files/link previews or perhaps have it off to the right-side similar to say the TeamViewer JIRA Add-on?

reporter I guess what I am trying to ask is this: when you are busy refining a working model do you re-upload the model so that the link stays the same (https://help.sketchfab.com/hc/en-us/articles/203064088-Re-upload-a-Model) or do you just make another upload to Sketchfab directly so that you have both the old and new models avaliable?
Depending on which workflow is more common would dictate where it should be displayed in the JIRA UI.

@robertmassaioli I believe for most people working with 3D and SketchFab the workflow is to re-upload over the top of the previous upload but sometimes you might see workflows where a 3D artist will also provide separate uploads for various stages of production on an asset i.e. blockout/pre-vis, high poly, low poly & textured.
You can probably also include a animation upload stage as well now that SketchFab has announced animation support on SketcFab: http://blog.sketchfab.com/post/126379365699/animation-is-here
