Top Google result for PyObjC goes to old documentation

Issue #267 resolved
nattofriends created an issue

Not sure if this is the right place to report this issue, but here goes anyway.

When searching for PyObjC on Google, the first result is the documentation hosted at https://pythonhosted.org/pyobjc/. This documentation was last updated for PyObjC 3.2.1.

I noticed there is actually updated documentation built at https://pyobjc.readthedocs.io, but it is not even in the first page of search results.

Is it possible to update the pythonhosted.org documentation or possibly replace it with a permanent redirect to documentation that is regularly documented?

The possibility to upload to pythonhosted.org was shut down with at best very short notice and its currently not possible to change that site other than deleting it, see https://github.com/pypa/warehouse/issues/3417.

As the warehouse (PyPI) issue has been open for more than a year and has no clear activity I've taken the nuclear option and have deleted the site at https://pythonhosted.org/pyobjc in the hope that the real website (on readthedocs.io) will rise in the search results.

P.S. The PyPI page for pyobjc (#3 in Google) does contain a link to the current version of the documentation.

As mentioned in the previous message I've taken the only action I can: remove the documentation on pythonhosted.org.
