Airports is a sample iOS application written as a coding test for an interview. It pulls data from the FAA's airport service to display airport, weather, and delay information.
A default test project is included, but I did not have time to write any tests.
Also available: more information!
- Clone the repo (
git clone https://firstname.lastname@example.org/rossnelson/airports.git)
- Run build.sh (
cd airports && sh build.sh)
This will ensure that everything is set up and the project can build. To test and deploy it,
src/AirportStatus/AirportStatus.xcodeproj in Xcode.
- Requires internet access; Airplane Mode will make it crash.
- Layout is wonky on anything other than a vertical iPhone.
- Ugly. Bits of this code are really unpleasant to work with, having reallyugly types or really messy ways of handling things. Given time, I would have gone through and cleaned up what I could. Oh, technical debt...
