python develop and pip install -e . broken

Issue #560 duplicate
Gijs Molenaar created an issue

During development, it is very useful to install a python project in development mode. For rpy2 this doesn’t seem possible (as pointed out in the documentation). This seems to be an easy fix, if the python module in the source code would be renamed to `rpy2` this issue would be resolved.

If for some historical reason this is not possible, a symlink can still be added (`ln -s rpy rpy2`) to the repository, making development easier.
