Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 800 & Microsoft Wireless mouse 1000 detected as a joystick.

Hi,

With löve 8.0 I think my microsoft keyboard/mouse combo are detected as a gamepad under linux. e.g. when I start pacpac I get: Detected Microsoft Microsoft® 2.4GHz Transceiver v8.0 And pacpac starts with gamepad supports. Pacman would then go constantly to the left.

If I replace jstick = (love.joystick.getNumJoysticks() > 0) by jstick = false in main.lua, it will start without joystick support and the game works fine.

Here is dmesg output when I plug they keyboard: [4627396.413003] usb 6-2: USB disconnect, device number 3 [4627412.385009] usb 6-2: new full-speed USB device number 4 using uhci_hcd [4627412.553539] usb 6-2: New USB device found, idVendor=045e, idProduct=0745 [4627412.553546] usb 6-2: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=0 [4627412.553551] usb 6-2: Product: Microsoft\xffffffc2\xffffffae\xffffffae 2.4GHz Transceiver v8.0 [4627412.553555] usb 6-2: Manufacturer: Microsoft [4627412.559681] input: Microsoft Microsoft\xffffffc2\xffffffae\xffffffae 2.4GHz Transceiver v8.0 as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.0/usb6/6-2/6-2:1.0/input/input10 [4627412.559782] generic-usb 0003:045E:0745.0007: input,hidraw0: USB HID v1.11 Keyboard [Microsoft Microsoft\xffffffc2\xffffffae\xffffffae 2.4GHz Transceiver v8.0] on usb-0000:00:1d.0-2/input0 [4627412.565849] input: Microsoft Microsoft\xffffffc2\xffffffae\xffffffae 2.4GHz Transceiver v8.0 as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.0/usb6/6-2/6-2:1.1/input/input11 [4627412.566089] generic-usb 0003:045E:0745.0008: input,hidraw1: USB HID v1.11 Mouse [Microsoft Microsoft\xffffffc2\xffffffae\xffffffae 2.4GHz Transceiver v8.0] on usb-0000:00:1d.0-2/input1 [4627412.589587] input: Microsoft Microsoft\xffffffc2\xffffffae\xffffffae 2.4GHz Transceiver v8.0 as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.0/usb6/6-2/6-2:1.2/input/input12 [4627412.589842] generic-usb 0003:045E:0745.0009: input,hiddev0,hidraw2: USB HID v1.11 Device [Microsoft Microsoft\xffffffc2\xffffffae\xffffffae 2.4GHz Transceiver v8.0] on usb-0000:00:1d.0-2/input2

I got exactly the same bug with Shank (the character always running to the left... making the game unplayable). I wonder if it's related...

This is a configuration issue on your end, and it probably is the reason why Shank was acting up.

EDIT: I should clarify, love just uses whatever your systems tells is a joystick.
