Memory allocation issue

Even in "No game" mode, memory usage of Love2d is going up by ~15 kilo a second before seemingly capping at a value dependant on the game. This causes FPS drops even in smallest ganes. Even if the game is just an FPS display, it's value will eventually start dropping.

    Memory rise is garbage accumulating from zero to some amount at which garbage collector really kicks in and keeps it low. Very large amounts of memory taken do impact garbage collector cycle timing and may cause visible freezes in extreme cases. I'll take your claim about that happening in smallest games with a grain of salt though, because it takes megabytes upon megabytes of data with untold millions of live objects before it starts running poorly.
