Data Execution Protection prevents Love from launching in Vista
I'm running Windows Vista and when I launch love, it immediately crashes and tells me that Data Execution Protection was activated and stopped the program. When you try to add love to the DEP exclusions list you get an error message:
"This program must run with data execution protection (DEP) enabled. You cannot turn off DEP for this program."
I did get it to work by disabling DEP entirely. This link is what helped me:
But, as the link says, disabling DEP globally is not secure and should be avoided if possible.
