We definitely need framebuffer objects, and we should look at the link below when implementing it, might be a good starting point.

EDIT: Rephrase, I'm talking about FBOs

    Vlrd's implementation is awesome. However in Fbo.cpp on line 70, if you insert:

    glClearColor( 0.0f, 0.0f, 0.0f, 0.0f );

    This will make the fbo transparent by default allowing you to layer fbos.
