Upgrading to Streaming API version 1.1

The streaming no longer works as Twitter no longer supports API version 1.

Big fan of tweetstream. I have also been encountering authentication issues this week, where as no credentials have changed and script has been running flawlessly for last 4 months. Is it likely also related to this issue, as the timing seems to correlate. --EDIT-- Unless I am mistaken, the basic authentication was turned off at the same time this stopped working for me. TweetStream will no longer work unless it supports OAuth like the ruby version does. (I would love to help if I had the skills). Any plans to suport this or do we look for a new library?

My fork (https://bitbucket.org/reidpr/tweetstream-reidpr) works with API 1.1.

As noted, there's a pending pull request for the necessary OAuth support. My fork has that, which is why it works.

reidpr, I installed your branch, but still gets same issue. Am I doing something wrong?

Probably. It works fine for me.
