Lisp2JS / Home

Welcome

This is a lisp interpreter in Javascript based on Peter Norvig's (How to Write a (Lisp) Interpreter (in Python)).

Background

The main reasons I created this are:

  1. To be able to try out the examples and exercises in Structured Interpretation of Computer Programs (SICP) while commuting.
  2. Learn Python
  3. Learn Javascript
  4. Learn LISP

What better way than to write a Lisp Interpreter in Javascript based on an existing one in Python.

To do's

I could really use help with the following:

  1. Creating a library of solutions for the SICP exercises that can be embedded on the HTML pages.
  2. Improving Error handling and supporting more datatypes as done in Peter Norvig's Lispy2.py.

Have fun!
